The free course with live classes has exclusive theoretical and practical content for introducing programming. Classes take place between the 16th and 19th of August
The Trybe web development school will hold the fifth edition of the First Steps in Programming course, classes will be held in partnership with XP Inc. The meetings are free, taught by Trybe instructors and experts, and will be available live on the school's YouTube channel, between the 16th and 19th of August. The main objective is to teach the fundamental concepts to interested people, even those without programming knowledge.

XP Inc. is supporting the realization of the XP Class, a group of the Trybe web development course, which will select 300 people to join the training, with 50% of the course paid by XP. In addition, the group aspires to have at least 30% women among its 300 students, in addition to 40% black and brown people. Ana K Melo, head of Diversity and Inclusion at XP Inc., was invited to learn, from scratch and live, along with the students in the class.

Remembering that this is a course for beginners, it is not necessary to have programming knowledge
The objective is to bring to the classes introductory content to programming logic, a good deal of theory about JavaScript – including operators and conditional structures -, in addition to arrays, strings, repetition structures, functions and knowledge of the XP Inc. culture. On the last day of the course, there is a Trybe hands-on Javascript challenge.

There are four days of a lot of content, showing, in practice, what the first steps of programming are like. This partnership with XP Inc. has the main objective of meeting the needs of the market that seeks qualified IT professionals”, says João Duarte, CTO of Trybe.
Students who sign up for the event become part of a community to interact with classmates and instructors through Slack and other platforms. Participants who complete the eight-hour course will receive a certificate of completion.
