Find out why the two Santa Catarina women are among Shell's favorites
MTCN, a consultancy based in Balneário Camboriú for sustainable solutions in dredging works and port, nautical and coastal developments, and Swap-e, from Florianópolis, focused on converting combustion vehicles into electric cars, are among the 12 companies selected to participate in the Shell StartUp Engine Brasil, an acceleration program for startups working on the transition to a more sustainable and inclusive world.
The focus of this year's edition is nature-based solutions, sustainable agriculture and forests, upstream decarbonization, energy solutions and social technology.
The 12 selected startups represent four of the five regions of Brazil and have products and services in these areas considered to have high potential.
“They are all companies that work for a more sustainable and inclusive world. Through the Investment Game, an event held at Cubo do Itaú Unibanco, in São Paulo, we were able to connect entrepreneurs and the investment market, with the presence of important investors such as Anjos do Brasil and SP Ventures”, wrote the president of Shell Brasil , Cristiano Pinto da Costa, in a post on LinkedIn.
“We were selected from dozens of registered companies and now we are among the startups that Shell identified as companies that make a social and environmental difference”, celebrates the founder and managing partner of MTCN, Mauricio Torronteguy. He adds that participating in the program offers the company's professionals a real possibility of accelerating their capabilities and improving their qualifications in administrative, financial and management processes.
