UFPR has just launched a new undergraduate course in Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering at the Jandaia do Sul Advanced Campus, scheduled to begin in 2025. The new course promises to shake up the educational and technological market in Brazil.
The new UFPR course was authorized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and will last four and a half years. The director of the Jandaia do Sul campus, Professor José Eduardo Padilha, explains that the region needed specific training to meet the growing demand of the technology market.
Currently, only 15 in-person courses in Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering are offered in Brazil, which places UFPR as one of the few universities that are training specialists in these promising areas.
