From digital security to Spanish: discover Unifesp's free courses and boost your learning!

The Federal University of Sรฃo Paulo (Unifesp) is accepting applications for more than 20 free courses in different areas, offering a unique opportunity for those who want to expand their knowledge, whether online or in person. And there's more: another 18 courses will have vacancies coming soon!

Free courses at Unifesp: accessible and quality knowledge

Unifesp, recognized for its academic excellence, is not limited to undergraduate courses spread across its seven campuses in the state of Sรฃo Paulo. The university also offers a wide variety of free courses aimed at different audiences, from beginners to professionals seeking updates in their fields.

The courses are offered through the Extension Information System (SIEX), which organizes the activities offered by each campus. Options include introductory language classes, such as Spanish, and workshops on mental health and combating social inequalities. All of this with the quality guaranteed by one of the best public institutions in Brazil.

Diversity and learning opportunities

Os free courses from Unifesp cover several areas of knowledge, and some of them are already open for registration. Here are five of the highlights:

Digital security for seniors

This course teaches tools to protect against cyber scams and strategies for promoting work on social media, as well as video and image editing. Classes are offered at the Diadema campus, with priority given to people over 60 years of age. Registration open until January 23,.

Social inequality: a historical, economic and political overview

With 30 hours of content, this course takes place between the days February 17 and 21, on the Osasco campus. The selection of the 20 participants will be carried out by the Academic Center of Economics of Unifesp. Registrations are open until February 18.

School education: classroom workshop

Aimed at basic education teachers, the course discusses alternatives to challenges in the classroom. Offered in a hybrid format (online and in person), classes begin in February at SP Escola de Teatro, in downtown Sรฃo Paulo.

Drug education and harm reduction

With 40 hours of content, this course covers the neuroscience of adolescent behavior and strategies to combat drug use in schools. Online classes on Tuesday mornings, with registration open from January 30,.

Next stop: Latin America!

Ideal for those who want to learn basic Spanish for travel and delve deeper into the culture of Latin American countries. The course is taught by undergraduate Spanish language students from the Guarulhos campus, with online classes on Saturdays. Although registration is closed, it is possible to join the waiting list.

How the selection process works

Most courses require prior registration, which can be done directly on the Unifesp SIEX page. Some courses have specific selection processes, such as resume analysis or profile assessments, while others follow the order of registration.

The duration and workload vary depending on the course, and many of them offer certification at the end, a valuable advantage for the job market.
