Pará state program opens 7 vacancies in various courses, including 5 for English courses
A State Secretariat for Science, Technology, Higher, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet) announced the opening of seven thousand vacancies in training courses for COP30, which will take place in Belém, Pará, in 2025.
Aimed at training local professionals, these courses are part of the SCHEDULE “Capacita COP30”, promoted by the government of state, and serve sectors such as tourism, hospitality, infrastructure and languages.
Of the seven thousand courses, five thousand are for teaching English, a growing demand with the expectation of tourists and representatives from various countries who will come to the state during the event.

The courses will start next Monday (11) and will be offered in the metropolitan region of Belém, Salinas and Santarém. Interested parties should register on the program’s official website “COP30 Capabilities".

- Advanced English for tourism business
- Excellence in customer service in reception services
- Tour guide in cultural spaces
- Maintenance of photovoltaic solar system
- Bar and restaurant management
- Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) basic
Partnerships and Teaching Modalities
The program has strategic partnerships, including Instituto Coca-Cola Brasil, Solar Coca-Cola and EF Education First, which offer the option of online teaching for language courses.
There will be two thousand places on courses focused on areas administrative and five thousand for language courses. These initiatives strengthen the training network and bring qualified training opportunities to professionals in the region.
In addition to the online modality, the cities of Castanhal, Santa Izabel, Benevides and Salvaterra will have in-person centers with classes of 30 students each.
This expansion to in-person classes seeks to reach a greater number of participants in strategic locations, facilitating access to training.

COP30, which will be held in November 2025, represents a unique opportunity for the economy and infrastructure of Pará. Given the importance of the event, the government is committed to preparing the people of Pará to receive tourists and delegations in a qualified manner, boosting the state's tourism and services sector.
