New IBGE public tender on the way. So far, vacancies have been confirmed for middle and higher level candidates in almost all of Brazil.
The new contest Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) for staff is already authorized. The public tender was announced on the morning of Tuesday (18), by Esther Dweck, Minister of Management and Innovation of Public Services, in a press conference, within a 2.480 vacancies, in various bodies.
IBGE medium and higher level competition offers 895 vacancies
In the case of the IBGE, the offer must be 895 vacancies, in several positions. The holding of the public tender had already been announced at the end of June, by the economic adviser to the Ministry of Planning, João Villaverde.
The distribution of vacancies by the respective positions of the IBGE contest at medium and higher levels must be confirmed at any time, with the publication of the authorizing ordinance in the Federal Official Gazette (DOU). In any case, Dweck has already stated that the offer will be for mid-level and senior positions. Opportunities were distributed in 300 for mid-level and 595 vacancies for higher education.

When the official ordinance is published, the federal government there must be a period of up to 6 months for an announcement to be published, that is, until mid-January of the next year. In the case of mid-level opportunities, the expectation is that all opportunities will be for the position of technician in geographic information and statistics, which had an application sent for 1.848 opportunities. The career starting salary is R$ 3.677,27.
As for the higher level, the positions that had a request sent to Management are analyst in planning, management and infrastructure in geographic information and statistics (588 vacancies), researcher in geographic information and statistics (11 vacancies), technologist in geographic information and statistics (597 vacancies). In the case of analysts, the starting salary is BRL 8.488,47 and for researchers, BRL 9.389,06. For technologists, remuneration has yet to be confirmed.
Understand how the last IBGE medium and higher level contest was
The last IBGE contest for staff was held in 2015, when two notices were issued, with a total of 600 opportunities. The organizing bank, on the occasion, was the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). An announcement offered 460 opportunities for a career as a technician distributed among several states. The other public tender had 90 positions for analysts and 50 for technologists, also with capacity in several states.
The need for a new medium and higher level IBGE competition was reinforced by the entity's president, Cimar Azeredo. The president says that, currently, the entity has 3.940 employees, almost a thousand of which can retire at any time, which could further increase the number of vacancies registered in the agency.
In the Office, Azeredo points out that vacancies will be opened for professionals from various areas such as Statistics, Demographics, Sociologists, Economists, Geographers and Information Technology and Geoprocessing Professionals, among others.
