The company records significant growth and expands its leadership in the sector

In 2023, Vast Infraestrutura solidified its position as leader in the crude oil export market in Brazil, reaching an impressive volume of 28,89 million tons shipped. This milestone represented an increase of 34,5% compared to the previous year, standing out as the biggest growth in the category and corresponding to 51% of the total movement of Brazilian terminals that export oil. This feat was possible thanks to operations at the Vast (T-Oil) terminal, strategically located in Porto do Açu, in Rio de Janeiro.

Record in movement and expansion of services

In addition to leading exports, Vast also occupied second place in terms of crude oil movement in the country, with a total of 57,6 million tons in 2023. This volume, which marks a growth of 32,9% compared to the previous year, it accounts for 69% of all movement at the Port of Açu, consolidating it as the second largest port in Brazil. These numbers reflect the record of 215 oil transshipment operations carried out in the period.

Cutting-edge strategy and infrastructure

Vast has been operating since 2016 and has the only private terminal in Brazil capable of transshipping oil in sheltered waters, with the capacity to receive VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) class ships. These ships have the capacity to store up to 2 million barrels of crude oil each. The company prioritizes safe, efficient operations with low downtime, serving a broad customer base of the largest oil and gas operators operating in Brazil.

Future Vision: diversification and sustainability

Aiming to expand its operations, Vast is committed to diversifying its service portfolio, meeting the growing demand for liquid handling infrastructure in Brazil. Among the innovative projects are the Açu Liquids Terminal (TLA), which will position itself as a hub for maritime fuels, including biocomponents to contribute to the decarbonization of the maritime sector, and SPOT, which promises to strengthen the national logistics infrastructure for the movement of oil, integrating a park of tanks and pipelines into existing transport networks and refineries.

Vast Infraestrutura's trajectory in 2023 not only reaffirms its leadership in the crude oil export market in Brazil, but also highlights its commitment to innovation, sustainability and logistical efficiency. With continued investments in modern infrastructure and expansion projects, Vast is well positioned to continue playing a crucial role in the oil and gas sector, generating value for its customers and contributing to the sustainable development of the maritime and energy sector in Brazil.
