CB Bioenergia invests BRL 35 million to build a new ethanol plant in a municipality in RS

CB Bioenergia closed a new agreement with the government of RS for the construction of an ethanol plant with a capacity to produce 10 million liters per year.

This Tuesday (23), the government of the State of RS signed a protocol of intentions with CB Bioenergia for the construction of an ethanol plant in the municipality of Santiago (RS)
which will have the capacity to produce 10 million liters per year. The document establishes articulated actions so that R$35 million can be invested through incentive programs.
The signing took place in a ceremony held at Palácio Piratini, with the presence of governor Ranolfo Vieira Júnior.

Through the Secretariat of Economic Development, the state made a commitment to make the CB Bioenergia project viable.

Ranolfo also states that clean energy is an important issue, being a global agenda included in the direction of sustainable development desired for the state.

According to the governor, RS currently depends on ethanol production from other states and the signing with CB Bioenergia will be another initiative that will expand operations so that this scenario changes.
RS should end the decade producing half of the demand for ethanol for domestic consumption
