Away from the spotlight and cameras, businessman Eike Batista today passes the image of a discreet person and does not reveal his current source of income

After attempts, between 2018 and 2019, at a career as an entrepreneurship influencer, testing niches as a speaker, consultant and youtuber, the entrepreneur Eike Batista reappeared in the media. In all, it's been three years, since August 2019, that Eike Batista has been out of social media and the spotlight, even though he has 1,1 million followers on Twitter.

The start of his media comeback aligns with his second arrest, which lasted just one day. Over the years, the businessman has been working hard to get rid of his “astral hell” that squandered his fortune, being considered in 2012, the seventh richest person in the world in the global list of Forbes magazine.

Currently, with assets blocked, all of his business fortune reduced to a few small businesses and with great mystery about his current sources of income, Eike Batista no longer enjoys the glamor he once had, but he does not seem to be in need, working and living in the same mansion as always, in Rio de Janeiro.

Despite taking a break from social networks, the businessman returned to the economic media more frequently this year, due to the soap opera that became the bankruptcy process of MMX, the mining company of Grupo X. With that, as of this Thursday, the 22nd, the businessman will return to showbiz.

His biopic will hit the screens of cinemas all over Brazil, as the name: Eike Batista: Tudo ou Nada. The feature features actor Nelson Freitas in the role of Eike and was based on the script of the book by journalist Malu Gaspar, which discusses the rise and fall of Eike Batista's empire. business and income

Since 2021, the businessman has been in contact with those involved in his bankruptcy process, mainly due to the process of selling Anglo's securities. With his inclination for business, Eike looks for investors interested in buying the debentures, making contacts with those involved in the process to convince them that the debentures have been offered at a plausible price, according to sources heard on condition of anonymity.

Eike Batista even went to Belo Horizonte, last month, to the headquarters of the Court of Justice of Minas Gerais (TJ-MG) where one of the mining company's two bankruptcy proceedings is taking place. He attended the court hearing to open bid envelopes at the Anglo bond auction, his third attempt to sell the shares in MMX's bankruptcy proceedings.

Along with their lawyers, the entrepreneur witnessed yet another failure. Soon after, the 1st Business Court of Belo Horizonte of the TJ-MG established a fourth attempt to sell the debentures and received a proposal from the BTG Pactual bank. Eike Batista himself and Argenta Securities (brokerage that made one of the proposals over the four transfer attempts) appealed the decision.

Eike's coaching career

During one of the attempts to come back on top as a consultant and “influencer”, between 2018 and August 2019, Eike Batista released motivational videos, gave interviews and declared that he had more than ten business projects in the pipeline.

“I'm going to speak, but I've designed more than ten US$ 1 billion companies. I designed my next ten”, commented Eike Batista to Estadão, in July 2019, when he showed up at an event about entrepreneurship, in Florianópolis (SC).

“They are in the mining area, where I have always been successful, not only in Brazil, but also in Chile and the United States. I am working in the area of nanotechnology, chemistry and materials, such as graphene, which is the material of the future”, added the businessman.
