White Martins teams up with Eneva in a solar energy project
White Martins signed an agreement with Eneva to participate in the solar energy generation project at Complexo Solar Futura I, located in Juazeiro, Bahia. The partnership is in line with the company's global sustainable development strategy and its efforts to combat climate change. The agreement was approved without restrictions by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade).
Futura I Solar Complex, one of the largest photovoltaic parks in the world
The Futura I Solar Complex is one of the largest photovoltaic parks in the Americas and the world. Installed in an area equivalent to 1.550 soccer fields, the complex has approximately 1,5 million solar panels. The generated energy will be mainly supplied to White Martins.
Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
By replacing electricity from conventional energy sources with solar energy, White Martins expects to reduce its scope 2 emissions in Brazil by 25%. The agreement also supports the 2035 climate target of Linde, parent company of White Martins, which aims to reduce absolute emissions of greenhouse gases 1 and 2 by 35% by 2035, compared to 2021.

Strategic partnership between White Martins and Eneva
Negotiations between the companies aim to use new energy sources on an increasing scale in White Martins' production processes throughout Brazil. The partnership has already established itself as one of the main self-production contracts in the Brazilian free market.
Eneva expands presence in renewable energy market
Complexo Solar Futura was acquired by Eneva from Focus Energia in March 2022. The acquisition is in line with Eneva's long-term strategic vision, which seeks to expand its participation in renewable energies and in the free energy market. The company invested BRL 2,9 billion in the construction of the complex. In addition, the project has the possibility of expansion, with the Futura II and Futura III parks being able to add 2,3 GW of installed capacity to the complex.
In summary, the partnership between White Martins and Eneva seeks to boost solar energy generation in Brazil through Complexo Solar Futura I, one of the largest photovoltaic parks in the world. The initiative aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainability in the energy sector.
