Chesf, Companhia Hidrelétrica do São Francisco, inaugurated last Friday, October 2, a new stretch of transmission line in Ceará
Chesf invested around BRL 24 million and put into commercial operation last Friday, October 2, a new transmission section in Ceará, with the expansion of the Aquiraz II substation, a new double-circuit transmission line. The investment was in the new part of the LT and the expansion will increase the energy transport capacity of the state of Ceará.

The new transmission lines have a length of 20 kilometers and are the result of the segmentation of 230 kV Banabuiú / Fortaleza 04F2 LT and the establishment of a new connection with SE Aquiraz II. According to Roberto Pordeus, director of Engineering and Construction, the work will expand energy transmission capacity and make Ceará's energy supply more reliable and extend to the National Interconnected System, which also highlights the revenue generated by Chesf will be around 5,3 million reais per year.
