Midea Global Expansion with a strategic focus on Brazil

Midea is in a process of global expansion and Brazil is considered one of the largest white goods markets in the world and the largest in Latin America. Currently, the multinational already has participation in two factories in Brazil, in Manaus/AM and Canoas/RS, through of a commercial partnership with Carrier, and the new factory in Pouso Alegre, in Minas Gerais, reinforces its strategic presence in the country, with the generation of job openings.

With the opening of the new factory in Brazil, Midea Carrier, the company resulting from the partnership between Midea and Carrier, aims to become one of the three main players in the market within four years. The factory, which will be inaugurated in July 2024, will have the production of Frost Free two-door refrigerators, which are expected to go on sale in the third quarter of next year. In addition, the company has plans to expand its production to other appliances and equipment and, consequently, offer more job vacancies.
