The company Âmbar Energia inaugurates the first solar energy plant that aims to serve two slaughterhouses. Expectations are high, considering the investment made in São Paulo to have its own renewable generation, since it will supply the demand of several customers.

Last Thursday (14/07), the Brazilian company that operates in the energy sector Âmbar Energia, part of the J&F Investimentos group, inaugurated the Photovoltaic Plant Âmbar Saltinho, located in the interior of São Paulo. The new plant is the first inaugurated by the company, which started investing in the solar power generation sector in 2021.

So that the works could be completed, R$ 23 million were invested in the solar power plant

It is important to highlight that the project involved an investment of approximately R$ 23 million. The new Saltinho system consists of four plants, which together add up to 9.408 photovoltaic panels. In this way, this renewable energy will supply the demand of several customers, including Swift and other integrated producers of Seara, both belonging to JBS.

Another surprising piece of news is that the residences of employees of the entire J&F group in the region will also be supplied with solar energy generated by Âmbar Saltinho, with a discount in relation to the distributor's invoice.

In total, the four plants have a power of 5.174 kWp, which is equivalent to the energy consumed by 2,8 homes, for example. The new system will prevent the emission of 12,193 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere, the same as planting 4 new trees per month, which, in addition to being an excellent measure for the company, will also help the environment a lot.

“The inauguration of UFV Âmbar Saltinho is a milestone in our growth strategy in renewable energies. We will invest more than BRL 6,5 billion in solar generation alone by 2025”, said Marcelo Zanata, president of Âmbar Energia.

In addition to investments in UFVs spread across the country, Âmbar is also investing in the construction of micro plants on customer properties, such as on the roofs of Swift stores. Currently, in the portfolio produced by Âmbar Energia in Distributed Generation, there are 58 of these photovoltaic plants in commercial operation, five awaiting connection and three in the construction phase, totaling 2.185 kWp, in six distribution concessionaires in the Southeast.

Understand a little about the company Âmbar Energia and its investments in several Brazilian regions

Âmbar Energia is a company that develops, implements and explores projects in the Thermal Generation, Transmission and Energy Trading segments, enabling the contribution to the new challenges of expansion, maximization and diversification of the Brazilian energy matrix.

Âmbar has a team of professionals with extensive experience in the sector, who identify opportunities and create projects that meet the challenges of the National Interconnected System (SIN). This system encompasses the five regions of Brazil and includes facilities operated by private, public and mixed companies, supervised by ANEEL.

In the Transmission sector, Âmbar Energia has diversified and complete transmission lines and electrical substations in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás and the Federal District.

Therefore, Âmbar Energia, the company that leads the Integrated Project of Cuiabá, has as main points of its work the respect for the environment and safety, both of its employees and of the communities where it operates. For this reason, the company has sought to invest more and more in renewable energy sources that can contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions and other gases that could harm the environment and the communities where the company operates.
