Contract won by Saipem
Saipem has won a contract in partnership with Eni Côte d'Ivoire and its partner Petroci to supply umbilicals, risers and subsea flowlines (SURF) for the development of the Baleine Phase 2 project, located in the deep sea waters of Côte d'Ivoire , with a depth of 1.200 meters.
The scope of this contract covers the entire engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) process of approximately 20 kilometers of rigid lines, 10 kilometers of flexible risers and jumpers, and 15 kilometers of umbilicals connected to a floating unit specific to the project.
Installation operations are scheduled to take place in 2024, using Saipem construction vessels.
Saipem highlights its previous involvement in the drilling activities of Phase 1 of the Baleine project, where it made available the vessels Saipem 10000 and Saipem 12000. This was followed by the execution of two contracts in “fast-track” mode.
In addition to this success, Saipem also secured a second contract, through a joint venture with Rosetti Marino and Micoperi, and this time with Snam Rete Gas. This new contract involves the construction of facilities for a new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) that will be located offshore Ravenna, Italy.
This project comprises the EPCI of a new offshore installation, connected to the existing one, for the berthing and mooring of the FSRU. This unit will be linked to the coast via an 26-kilometer-long 8,5-inch offshore pipeline, as well as a 2,6-kilometer onshore pipeline and a parallel fiber optic cable.
