Federal Institute opens vacancies for distance learning tutors with a scholarship of R$ 1.100,00. Those selected will work at UAB's on-site centers, contributing to the training of Mathematics teachers.

O Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP) has just extended the registration period for the selection process for in-person tutors for the Second Degree in Mathematics course, within the scope of the Open University of Brazil (UAB).

With monthly grants of R$1.100,00, the program is an excellent opportunity for educators with teaching experience who are looking for flexibility and impact in the educational field.

What is the IFSP selection process?

Notice No. 146/2024, published by IFSP, regulates the filling of five immediate vacancies and the formation of a reserve register for in-person tutors who will work at UAB centers.

The program is aimed at distance learning, prioritizing the training of Mathematics teachers for basic education.

According to IFSP, the available vacancies are for professionals who already work in public education or who are linked to teacher training programs.

With registrations extended until December 5, 2024, there is more time for interested parties to gather the required documents and confirm their participation.

Who can apply?

To participate, the candidate must meet specific requirements, all detailed in the official notice.
The main criteria include:

  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience, whether in primary or higher education.
  • Active link in public teaching or participation in teacher training programs, as established by Law No. 11.273/2006.

In addition, candidates must present a series of supporting documents, such as an updated Lattes CV, undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, postgraduate certificates, proof of experience and others.

Where are the vacancies?

Immediate vacancies are distributed across six in-person locations in the state of São Paulo.
Check out the list of locations:

  • São João da Boa Vista – SP (Vila Conrado): 1 vacancy
  • Matão – SP (São José Garden): 1 vacancy
  • Peruíbe – SP (Center): 1 vacancy
  • Diadema – SP (Center): 1 vacancy
  • Braganca Paulista – SP (São Lourenço Garden): 1 vacancy
  • Jaú – SP (Center): 1 vacancy

Successful candidates will work at these centers, assisting in the training of teachers in the distance learning modality.

How much will be paid?

Selected tutors will receive a monthly stipend of R$1.100,00, as established by CAPES Ordinance No. 33, of February 16, 2023.

Payments are made directly by CAPES and not by IFSP, therefore, any delays in payments are not the responsibility of the institute.

This remuneration is proportional to the reduced working hours of four hours per day, making the position attractive for those looking to balance work and other commitments.

How will the selection be made?

The selection process consists of an analysis of qualifications and professional experience, with a maximum score of 100 points.
Evaluation criteria include:

  • Academic training, such as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
  • Experience in teaching and working in programs such as UAB and e-Tec Brasil.
  • Additional qualifications, which also serve as tiebreaker criteria.

The most experienced candidates with the highest academic qualifications will have priority in the final ranking.

IFSP registration deadline

With the new extended deadline, interested parties can register until December 5, 2024.
Registrations must be made exclusively on the official IFSP website: https://concursopublico.ifsp.edu.br.

Questions and other information can be sent to the email uab@ifsp.edu.br.

Why is this opportunity unique?

This selection process represents more than just a job vacancy.

It is a chance to directly contribute to the training of new teachers, positively impacting basic education in Brazil.

In addition, the reduced workload, the format of distance learning and flexibility make it the ideal proposal for those who want to balance their professional and personal lives.

With the registration deadline extended, there are no excuses for letting this opportunity pass you by.

Will you take advantage of this opportunity to earn R$1.100 working just 4 hours a day?
