In addition to the authorization for the start of construction of the ETA and ETE, the company's president, José Roberto Barbosa da Silva, celebrated important steps in the project, such as the recent signing of a contract that gave Petrocity the status of an authorized port. “We are on the radar of the federal government as an authorized port and receiving full support from the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Brazilian government,” he declared.

The president of Petrocity also declared that the start of these works are the critical path of the project and that the infrastructure and support works will support the installation of the patios, bridge and port pier.
The National Agency for Waterway Transport (Antac), carried out an assessment of the technical data of the undertaking and approved the granting process, publishing it in the Official Gazette, after which the process returned to the Ministry of Infrastructure, which followed up and gave the Port of São Mateus the condition of authorized port.
Petrocity appreciated the participation of the Minister of Infrastructure. Tarcísio Freitas, and the company is proud to be on the government's radar as an authorized port and receiving full support from the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Brazilian government, as declared by its president.
The infrastructure works at the Port of São Mateus, in Espírito Santo will require around 750 workers and should last from 24 to 30 months.
“Within this period of up to 30 months of work, we are working to be sure that we have the port license so that, before the completion of the works on land, we can start the work on the port.” declared Barbosa da Silva.
