Yinson, the 6th largest in the world in platform leasing, will generate around 3.000 jobs with the newest 22-year contract invoiced by Petrobras

The week begins with excellent news for oil and gas professionals! On the last 9th, we at Click Petróleo e Gás announced that the oil company Yinson Bergenia won Petrobras' 22-year contracts for chartering services for the FPSO Maria Quitéria in the Campos Basin. These contracts promise to generate 200 direct jobs, and also 3.000 jobs should be created in the supply chain, according to Vieira de Freitas, CEO of DVF Consultoria.

“The oil will be removed from the Parque das Baleias sea, in the Campos Basin, but it is part of the territory of Espírito Santo. This will improve the cash flow of the State and municipalities, in addition to contributing to the GDP (Gross Domestic Product)”, explained Durval Vieira de Freitas, CEO of DVF Consultoria.

According to Durval, the company should directly hire around 200 professionals. However, another 3.000 jobs should be created in the supply chain, according to Durval.

Job vacancies will be for various positions, such as geophysicists, machine operators, maintenance mechanic, engineers, doctors, cooks, nurses, and others with different levels of education.

Hiring should begin next year, explained Durval. The salaries offered for job openings can range from R$3 to R$30, depending on the position. “They should hire some more experienced professionals as well as some newcomers.”

Yinson Bergenia is the 6th largest in the world in platform rentals

According to Yinson Bergenia, the company that signed the contracts last week with the Brazilian oil giant, the company is the sixth largest in the world in platform leasing.

The project with group Yinson Production PTE plans to interconnect 17 wells to the FPSO, nine of which are oil producers and eight are water injectors. The unit should produce 100 barrels of oil and 5 million cubic meters of gas per day.

The operation is part of the Parque das Baleias Integrated Project, to be installed in Campo de Jubarte, located in the north of the Campos Basin. The Parque das Baleias area is formed by the fields of Jubarte, Baleia Anã, Cachalote, Caxaréu, Pirambú and Mangangá.

The first field, in Jubarte, was discovered in 2001. Currently, four platforms are in operation: P-57, P-58, FPSO Cidade de Anchieta and FPSO Capixaba, the latter of which will only operate until 2022.
