When the Imetame port terminal in Aracruz is in the operational stage, it is estimated that around 640 direct job openings will be created, in addition to another thousand indirect jobs
Construction work on the port terminal in Aracruz, Espírito Santo by Imetame Logística Porto, is just a few steps away from becoming reality. The company informs that it is only waiting for the signing of the assignment contract with the Federal Heritage Secretariat (SPU), which is currently in the final phase.

The Governor of the state of ES, Renato Casagrande, announced the good news about the start of works at Porto Imetame last Monday (05/10). The announcement took place during an event to renew the contract for the Vila Velha Port Terminal, where more than R$500 million will be injected into investments in Espírito Santo by 2048 and around 600 new jobs will soon be created for the region.
“We have extraordinary expectations in the port area. Among other cases, we have expectations of strong investments in the port of Imetame, whose work will start in the next few days”, said Casagrande.

According to Imetame, around one billion reais will be invested to complete the works on the port, which will take place in two stages. According to company, the first phase which is expected to be completed within three years, includes the movement of containers and general cargo.
At first, 650 direct jobs will be created for drivers, equipment operators and civil construction professionals. The other 300 jobs will be supply chain opportunities. Imetame says that hiring will take place gradually, respecting the need according to the progress of the work.
