The first recyclable wind blades of the company are running on a turbine at the offshore wind farm in the city of Kaskasi, Germany. This is the first commercial installation and operation of wind turbine technology with recyclable wind blades.

The company's highly technological set was named RecyclableBlade and was installed in the turbines of the German plant, being produced from various materials embedded in resin. According to information from Siemens, the separation of resin, fiberglass, wood, among other materials, was carried out using a mild acid solution.

Siemens also points out that the materials can then enter the circular economy, leading to the development of new products, such as suitcases or flat screen casings, without the need to resort to other or more raw resources.

A world wide wind, a company based in Norway, has developed a new design for a vertical-axis floating wind turbine. The project has the potential to completely transform the way offshore wind energy is used.

The company's new concept promises to generate twice as much power as the largest traditional turbines currently available on the market. Using two sets of blades that tilt and rotate in the opposite direction, the company claims its large wind turbine has the potential to reach heights of up to 400 meters.

The technology manages to unleash unparalleled power and density, which can result in a considerable reduction in the cost of offshore wind energy.
