Order for 56 MW marks progress in the Croatian market

The Nordex Group, a global leader in renewable energy solutions, announces a significant order of 56 MW for the “Visoka” wind farm in Croatia, reinforcing its position in the country's energy market. The order, placed by ENCRO doo and Adris Grupa, includes eight N163/6.X wind turbines, standing out in the renewable energy sector and contributing to the region's energy transition.

This new acquisition symbolizes an important step in the Nordex Group's journey to expand its presence in Croatia, demonstrating the company's commitment to supporting sustainable growth in the area. The turbines, part of the Delta4000 series, will be installed near Sinj, northeast of Split, and are scheduled for operation in late 2024.

Branimir Ivković, from ENCRO, highlights the importance of the “Visoka” project for the growth of renewable energy generation capacity in Croatia. This joint investment, with a connected capacity of 122,3 MW and an installed capacity of 141,8 MW, not only drives the green energy transition in Croatia, but also supports the European Union's economic and environmental objectives.

The continued growth of the Nordex group

Since 2019, the Nordex Group has experienced an increase in demand for its renewable energy solutions in Croatia. To date, the company has already installed 154 turbines in the country, totaling 635 MW, mainly in the 3, 4 and 5 MW classes. With the N163/6.X turbines at Visoka scheduled for 2024, the Nordex Group solidifies its leadership in the Croatian market.

The Nordex Group, with more than 44 GW of wind energy capacity installed in more than 40 markets, generated revenues of €5,7 billion in 2022. The company, which employs more than 9.000 people, has production capacity in several countries , including Germany, Spain, Brazil, the United States, India and Mexico. Its product portfolio focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 6.X MW class, meeting the needs of global markets.

This advancement in Croatia, with the installation of the N163/6.X turbines, not only strengthens the Nordex Group's position as a leader in the renewable energy sector, but also represents an ongoing commitment to sustainable development and the global energy transition.
