The request from Usina Laguna Álcool e Açúcar Ltda. was carried out in November 2019 and the authorization was published yesterday (24/08). According to the publication, the plant will operate under the regime of independent production of electricity, starting within a period of 36 months.

With a 35-year concession plan, the plant will have 21.200 kW of installed power and will have 3 generating units, in addition to declared net power of 15.000 kW. The unit in Mato Grosso do Sul will generate energy by burning sugarcane bagasse.
