In the dynamic world of electric vehicles, the Seres 7, developed collaboratively by Huawei and Seres, has emerged as a true sales phenomenon in China. Since its launch in early September, this Electric SUV of luxury has accumulated an impressive figure of more than 100.000 orders. The overwhelming demand was mainly concentrated on the 5-seater version, representing an impressive 80% of total orders, while the remaining 20% corresponded to the 6-seater model.
From China to Brazil: The arrival of Seres 7
The good news for enthusiasts of electric mobility in Brazil is that the Seres 7, also known as Aito M7, is now available on the local market. The Brazilian version will be sold as Seres 7 and, according to recent Seres announcements, it will be available in the coming weeks in the 4WD version with the Huawei ADS 2.0 intelligent propulsion. This system includes two electric motors and a range extender that allows the Seres 7 to travel up to 1.300 km, setting new standards in the electric vehicle industry.
Characteristics and Production of Seres 7
Coming from the Dongfeng brand and assembled in the Chongqing factory, the Seres 7/Aito M7 is a marvel of engineering, measuring 5.020 meters long, 1.945 meters wide, 1.760 meters high and 2.820 meters in wheelbase. The production capacity of the factory, opened in July 2022, is 150.000 units per year, and Seres 7 contributes around 700 units daily for that number.
No chinese market, the Aito M7 is offered in 2WD (rear-wheel drive) and 4WD variants, as well as configurations for five or six occupants. The 4WD version, which will arrive in Brazil, stands out for its advanced propulsion system and the ability to travel up to 1.300 km without recharging. With engine options, from the efficient rear engine with 200 kW (272 HP) and 360 Nm of maximum torque to the powerful dual AWD engine with 330 kW (448 HP) and 660 Nm of torque, the Seres 7 adapts to the needs and driver preferences.
High-performance Huawei battery thanks to the 1.5 turbo engine, which acts as a power generator
The technological jewel of the Seres 7 is its 40 kWh lithium battery, which offers a range in all-electric mode of up to 240 km, according to the Chinese CLTC cycle. A combined range of up to 1.300 km is achieved thanks to the engine 1.5 turbo, who acts as an energy generator when the battery charge is below the level set by the driver. As for prices, although the cost for the Brazilian market has not yet been revealed, it is expected to be above the Seres 5, which currently sells for R$420.000.
