Ambev will have a distribution center powered by solar energy and says it plans to invest even more in renewable energy

Brazilian beer giant Ambev previously announced it plans to build 48 solar power plants by the end of the year or the first quarter of 2021, thus boosting the renewable energy market. The novelty of the time is the company's technology center that will be entirely powered by renewable energy.

The company responsible for modernizing Ambev in solar energy is SIMEPE ENERGIA, which claims to have the most advanced solutions in the renewable energy market.

31 Ambev solar energy parks

Originally, Cervejaria Ambev did not intend to modernize only its distribution center with renewable energy, but it planned to develop 31 solar energy parks in 28 Brazilian cities. Now, the brewery seeks to deploy solar power plants in 48 municipalities, spread across 21 states plus the Federal District. The first solar panel of the beam is already in operation in the state of Goiás.

Ambev expects that the combined production of the plants will offset 4.600 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year, and says that only the companies' efforts to deploy renewable energy can solve this.
