FPSO operator BW Offshore has signed a contract with Petrobras for a one-year extension to the lease and operation of BW Cidade de São Vicente.
Petrobras and BW Offshore extended the contract from the second quarter of 2019 to the second quarter of 2020, the vessel's owner said on Tuesday. The BW Cidade de São Vicente was converted by Keppel in 2009. The FPSO's oil production capacity is 30.000 bbl / storage capacity is 470.000 bbl.
Itapu: The notice of bidding for contracting the FPSO for definitive production in Itapu, in the transfer of rights area in the Pre-Salt of the Santos Basin, where the FPSO BW Cidade de São Vicente produces under a Long Duration Test (EWT) regime, was announced in 2018, to start production in 2020.
BW Offshore enters the Campos Basin and can buy 100% of Maromba. Currently, the companies operating in these assets are Petrobras (70%) and Chevron (30%).
O Maromba field is located on the Brazilian coast, in the Campos Basin, at a water depth of 160 meters.
