Another 50 electric cars are authorized to circulate in Fernando de Noronha by the Government

After announcing the new public eco-station that will charge electric cars, which was put into operation last Wednesday (3), by the Administration of the archipelago of Fernando de Noronha, located in Northeast Brazil, this time the government authorized the purchase of 50 eletric cars.

Residents of Fernando de Noronha are now authorized by the government to purchase electric cars. The idea is part of the project that aims to reduce the rate of carbon emissions and increase the rate of visitation in the region. 

More than 100 government authorizations for the use of electric cars have already been granted

Currently, it already has a total of 180 electric cars in circulation in the Fernando de Noronha region. By the year 2030 the use of combustion-powered cars will be banned. 

“These concessions guarantee the community of Noronha the right to purchase vehicles that comply with the principle of sustainability, within the ecological footprint that the island administration has been adopting, with Noronha Carbon Zero Program. We will always continue to look for alternatives to guarantee a more sustainable future”, said the Legal Superintendent, Felipe Campos.

Electric car factory to open in 2023 in Brazil

Government of the State of Minas Gerais signed last Friday (5) the protocol of intentions with Bravo Motor Company for the construction of a factory for electric vehicles and battery packs in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte.

The project will have a total investment of R$ 25 billion and should generate almost 14 thousand direct and indirect jobs.
