This Monday, (20/06), was a remarkable day for the development of Bahia. IBPC Pré-Moldados de Concreto and Alumideste Indústria e Comércio de Embalagens will invest around R$ 12 million in works and renovations at their units in the capital of Bahia and in the municipality of Feira de Santana, respectively. In this way, in addition to drive the local economy, the signing of protocols of intentions signed between the industries with the State Government, through the Secretariat for Economic Development (SDE), is an indication that job vacancies will be created for residents.
Millionaire investment made by the industries IBPC Pré-Moldados de Concreto and Alumideste Indústria e Comércio de Embalagens in Bahia promises to move the local economy
With all sectors getting back on track after the pandemic, Bahia will be a great beneficiary and will have a millionaire investment on the way. Aiming to increase its space and work with more modern equipment, IBPC Pré-Moldados de Concreto plans to invest around R$ 9,5 million in these essential items for the company to grow even more in Salvador.
The company works with the production of foundations, pillars, staves, beams, hollow core slabs and structures for roofs, aiming with its expansion, an annual increase in its production that could reach 6,9 thousand m³.

According to João Nunes, Secretary of Economic Development, “it's time to grow. The expansion of these industries shows that business is thriving and Bahia can only gain from more investments and new jobs. Increases in production and industrial plants have a direct impact on the economy of these regions and the state. We work so that more companies are attracted to the territory of Bahia and create new jobs”.
With regard to Alumideste Indústria e Comércio de Embalagens, the company works with the manufacture of polyethylene films, PVC film, waterproof papers, fractionated aluminum foil coils and fruit and vegetable bags. It is located in the city of Feira de Santana and will spend around R$ 2,3 million to expand this unit. Allowing its annual production capacity to reach the mark of 99 thousand tons.
How will these millionaire investments in the state generate job openings for the population?
The good side of an investment is when, in addition to leveraging the local economy, it also generates job opportunities for those looking for a chance in the job market. With these two companies investing in the two Bahian municipalities, both cities will have a certain amount of job openings to distribute.
So far, the projections in relation to the EORTC, is that there will be an increase in the number of workers that will go from 150 to 200 jobs. That is, in Salvador alone, 50 new job opportunities will be opened for dwellers. In relation to Alumideste, it has not yet disclosed the number of vacancies offered with the expansion of the company.
For Marcus Vinícius Cardoso de Andrade, a partner at IBPC, “with this benefit we will have an increase in revenue, an increase in taxes being paid and in the generation of jobs and I believe that this year I will already have an increase in the creation of these jobs. We will also have an increase in manpower in the State itself, as we place a lot of emphasis on having people from here in the region, and this is a very big gain both for the company and for Bahia. I still intend to greatly increase our production capacity. The start of the works is immediate and the deadline for completion is two to three years”.
