With the road blocked, workers at the Port of Açu, in Rio de Janeiro, hold a demonstration on the morning of this Wednesday, November 6
In Rio, employees of two companies in the Açu Port Complex, in São João da Barra, staged a protest alleging that companies such as Andrade Gutierres are laying off workers en masse; workers also claim the lack of health insurance. The Port of Açu set a record for oil handling in 2019.
The manifesto took place on the morning of this Wednesday, November 6, at Rua Nova. According to information, the dismissals are being carried out without effecting the labor rights of the employees who work in the port of acu.

Workers closed the road at Rua Nova, which gives access to the site this morning, preventing other workers from other companies from reaching their workplaces.
Other vehicles that need to travel to the 5th district of SJB are also unable to use that road. The action of the demonstrators is causing a big traffic jam and consequently, disturbance in the place.
Gates 1 and 2 were closed and around 8 am, after not reaching an agreement, the workers were released to their homes.

Company negotiates with GNA, at Porto do Açú, entry into Brazil to operate and maintain LNG terminal
A Lithuanian liquefied natural gas terminal operator Klaipedos Nafta (KN) is negotiating an agreement for the operations and maintenance of GNA's LNG terminal in Porto do Açu, in Rio de Janeiro
KN said that, if the agreement is approved, it may undertake to incorporate a company in Brazil to provide these services.
For this reason, KN may need to provide a guarantee to guarantee the fulfillment of the Brazilian company's obligations to GNA or its legal successor under the terms of the contract during the duration of the deal.
