Estácio University is hiring Occupational Safety Technician to work in Rio de Janeiro

Estácio de Sá University opens a vacancy for Occupational Safety Technician to work in Niterói – Rio de Janeiro. Run that the vacancy expires on the 28th of this month!!! To apply, the candidate must have a Professional High School in Occupational Safety Technician, be registered with the DRT, proven experience in the function, intermediate knowledge in the Office Package and availability for short-term trips.

Purpose of Position

    • Carry out Occupational Safety inspections in the units, checking the conditions of all environments, aiming to prevent accidents at work and occupational diseases, in compliance with the Labor Legislation and Regulatory Norms.
    • The candidate will have the following responsibilities:
    • Guide and coordinate the work safety system, investigating risks and causes of accidents, analyzing prevention schemes.
    • Inspect company locations, facilities and equipment and determine accident risk factors.
    • Propose safety standards and devices, suggesting any modifications to equipment and installations and verifying their observance, to prevent accidents.
    • Inspect fire stations, examining hoses, hydrants, extinguishers and fire protection equipment.

  • Communicate the results of your inspections by preparing reports.
  • Investigate accidents that have occurred, examining the conditions of the occurrence, to identify their causes and propose the appropriate measures.
  • Intermediate with the institution's medical and social services, in order to facilitate the necessary care for victims of accidents.
  • Record irregularities and prepare accident statistics.
  • Train company employees on safety standards, firefighting and other accident prevention measures.
  • Participate in meetings on safety at work, providing data on the subject, making suggestions and analyzing the feasibility of proposed safety measures to improve the existing system.
