Mitsubishi L200 Triton 2025: New generation of Mitsubishi's national pickup truck promises to revolutionize the market
Mitsubishi is preparing a great novelty for the Brazilian market: the new generation of the L200 Triton. With Expected arrival for the year 2025, the pickup will be produced in the factory of the brand in Catalão (GO), marking the beginning of national production of the model, according to the Estadão website.
The new Mitsubishi L200 Triton pickup truck, which has already had its industrial design registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), will arrive with a completely renewed look. The front grille, divided into three sections, is higher and has “C” shaped contours at the height of the headlights, in addition to a set of LED daytime lights. At the rear, the taillights were redesigned, maintaining the pickup's robust identity.

In the cabin, the L200 Triton features a new instrument panel, now with a larger screen and multimedia center. The model also offers adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot sensor, automatic braking emergency system and rear cross-traffic alert, in addition to seven airbags, ensuring the safety of the occupants.
With an increase in dimensions, the new L200 Triton pickup truck is now 5,36 meters long, 1,93 meters wide, 1,81 meters high and has a wheelbase of 3,13 meters. The bucket has also been updated and is 45mm lower, facilitating the loading and unloading of cargo.
Engine and performance in the new Mitsubishi pickup truck
In the mechanical part, the pickup will have the same 2.4 turbodiesel engine, however, with some changes for the Brazilian market. Power may vary between 149 hp and 214 hp, with torque from 33,6 mkgf to 47,9 mkgf. The transmission will be manual or automatic, both with six gears, with 4×4 traction with reduced gear, guaranteeing excellent performance in different terrain conditions.
With all these new features, the Mitsubishi L200 Triton 2025 promises to be a great success in the market, competing head-on with established models such as the Toyota Hilux, Chevrolet S10, Ford Ranger and the recently launched Fiat Titano.
