Wind energy: new turbine operates in conjunction with solar panels and can be taken in the car to generate energy even in remote locations
KiteX, a Danish startup, has created a collapsible and portable wind turbine capable of generating energy to run a small fridge, some lights, your laptop or your router. The turbine can operate in conjunction with solar panels and be carried in the car to generate power even in remote locations.

The turbine, manufactured by kitex it has fiberglass propellers, weighs only 10 kg and is easily transportable. When you need it, just unpack, assemble, anchor to the ground (with a set of high-strength nylon tension straps) and start harvesting wind energy. The company estimates that 15 minutes is enough for one person to set up all the parts.
The wind turbine was named Wind Catcher and can operate in conjunction with solar panels.
The wind turbine was named Wind Catcher and works day and night – even in places with little wind – and can operate in conjunction with solar panels. The turbine has two versions: a 200W one, ideal for low wind speed climates, and a 600W one, which provides enough energy to charge electric bicycles and electronic devices in general.

Another advantage is that the new wind turbine is designed to operate with less noise, although it is not as quiet as solar panels. But, for those who are going to use the product in nature, in fact the noise can mix with the natural sounds around.
Even though it was designed for nature-loving adventurers, the solution can be adopted by modern nomads – who live working while traveling. In addition, the search for energy self-sufficiency is already the desire of many who live in and outside urban areas.
