Equinor wins Petrobras tender and acquires oil cargo from the Atapu field

Equinor emerged victorious in the Petrobras competition by winning a cargo of 500 thousand barrels of oil from the Union, coming from the production sharing contract for the Atapu field, located in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin.

Pré-Sal Petróleo SA (PPSA) reported that the cargo will be available at the end of September. The Norwegian company offered the highest price for oil in the Union based on the Reference Price established by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).

This is the second cargo sold by PPSA under the production sharing contract for excess volumes from the onerous transfer of Atapu. The first cargo was also negotiated through direct sales by PPSA, being purchased by Galp, totaling 500 thousand barrels.
