Confirmed: Brazilian shipyard has just won works from MODEC

There will be four modules for Modec's FPSO MV-32 under contract by Petrobras after a successful meeting between representatives of the shipyard and oil companies

The EBR shipyard (RS), accredited by Petrobras and recognized as its best supplier in 2019 for the delivery of 2 modules for Modec's FPSO Guanabara (MV-31) in less than a year, held yesterday (06/03) the KOM (Kick off Meeting) with the participation of Petrobras and Modec for the construction of 4 topside modules for the FPSO Admiral Barroso (MV-32). The KOM is the meeting that marks the beginning of the project and where your needs are aligned with all expectations and also where the project manager and his management plan are presented.

Summary of other projects for the Brazilian shipbuilding industry in 2020 to date

  • Construction of coverts and Tamandaré class ships in SC
  • Integration and commissioning of the P-71 in ES
  • Works at the Urca and Frande Units in RJ

Oceana Shipyard, Santa Catarina – It was signed on 05/03, between the Brazilian Navy and the Águas Azuis Consortium (ThyssenKrupp/Embraer/ATECH and Shipyard Oceana, from Itajaí SC) the contract for the construction of 4 Tamandaré class ships.

The next step will be the development of the detailing project (18 months) as well as the adequacy of the shipyard and hiring of labor. “upgrade” from Corvettes to Frigates will guarantee the creation of 8 thousand direct and indirect jobs. The first frigate should be delivered in 2024 and the fourth in 2028.

The Jurong Aracruz shipyard, in Espírito Santo – Receives this March the FPSO P-71 for integration and commissioning before entering into operation in the Sururu field in the Santos basin.
