These scholarships will be awarded to students with the potential to innovate and create solutions for the industry.
The program will be divided into modules, allowing participants to enter at any stage, as long as they are approved by the managers.
The stages include training in innovation and entrepreneurship management, pre-incubation of companies, pre-acceleration of new technology-based companies and training for supplier development.
The expectation is that, over five years, 4 thousand scholarships will be granted, 400 new technology-based companies will be created in the country and more than 100 new suppliers for the industry will be developed.
To achieve this ambitious goal, Petrobras will invest in training highly qualified professionals and in promoting an environment conducive to innovation.
José Carlos Travassos, director of Technology and Engineering at Petrobras, believes that the program will enrich the ecosystem of domestic suppliers, establishing a virtuous and unprecedented circle in the sector.
The idea is that training fellows and encouraging entrepreneurship will result in a significant increase in the responsiveness, innovation and competitiveness of the national market.
Petrobras strengthens the innovation ecosystem by awarding thousands of scholarships and creating new companies
Maíza Goulart, executive manager of the Petrobras Research Center, estimates that, once fully operational, the program will annually award around 50 academic scholarships in around XNUMX areas of interest to the company.
In addition, new technology-based entrepreneurs are expected to face at least 30 technology challenges at different stages of development, from pre-incubation to delivery capability.
The purpose of the program is to accelerate technologies with high application potential and strengthen the national market, both for companies and professionals, in offering innovative technological solutions.
This unprecedented project is in addition to other Petrobras initiatives aimed at developing the innovation ecosystem, such as the Human Resources Training Program (PRH) of the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP) and Petrobras Connections for Innovation.
The PRH finances the granting of academic scholarships, committing to invest part of these resources in research, development and innovation, benefiting society with educational and professional advances.
In turn, Petrobras Conexões para Inovação promotes the company's connection with the innovative ecosystem, encompassing startups, universities, science and technology institutions and other companies.
O SCHEDULE seeks to create partnerships to develop, test and commercialize technologies with Petrobras.
With the implementation of this new academic scholarship program, Petrobras reaffirms its commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the country, contributing to the training of qualified professionals and boosting Brazil's economic and social development.
