New Shell project is scheduled for 2023 in the Santos Basin pre-salt, with estimated production of 90 barrels per day connected to 10 wells
Exploration Block BM-S-54, called Gato do Mato and located in the Santos Basin pre-salt, will have new projects for the installation of an FPSO with anchoring led by Shell, announces the E&P Brasil website. The asset will be developed in the southern part of the block with the first oil forecast for 2023, whose offshore unit must be configured to support 90 barrels per day of oil and 8,5 million cubic meters of natural gas.
In addition, the FPSO will be able to store around 1,6 million bpd, with operations scheduled until 2048 (25 years).

- 2 seawater injector wells
As there is an infrastructure already installed in the Santos Basin, Shell can use two ways to transport the natural gas: it can use the unit's own injection system or flow through the PMXL-1 platform in Mexilhão or through the production system in Uruguá.
Shell plans to invest around US$ 2 billion per year until 2025 in Brazil
Shell's vice president of exploration for North America and Brazil, Martin Stauble, said during OTC Houston 2019 that Brazil is currently the main driver of Capex for the oil company.
