Although shipbuilding in Brazil suffers from low demand for large projects, such as FPSOs and drilling units, there are high expectations for maximizing operations by offshore support vessels in the coming years. In the last week we had a small glimpse of some successful projects in this segment in a national environment. Via Renato Oliveira

1 – Belov Shipyard, Bahia
The first of these was the delivery of 2 DSV's (Support Vessel for Diving Activities) BELOV AMARALINA and the BELOV HUMAITÁ by the Belov da Bahia shipyard, in addition to the construction of the 2,000-ton dry dock BELOV ITAPOAN to load out the DSVs. Congratulations to Mark Fields e Alessandro Carnivali Garcia and to all Belov shipyard !!!!
2 – Navship Shipyard, Santa Catarina
2) The Navship Shipyard completed the conversion of two RSV-type vessels (Support to ROV operations). Final tests and launch of the ROV in deep waters remain. Soon, they should report to Petrobras in Rio de Janeiro to start the new service contracts. Congratulations to the Shipyard Naviship de Navegantes (SC) !
3 – P 70, Petrobras
3) And finally, although manufactured in China the P-70 started production in the Atapu field and had the first oil on 25/06 and will foment a whole demand for support boats.
