Are you looking for a free distance learning degree at a Federal Institute without using ENEM? This is your chance! IF Sudeste MG has more than 700 places in free coursess without charging anything!

For those planning to start their studies in the second semester of this year, the Federal Institute of Southeast Minas Gerais (IF Sudeste MG) is now open for registration for a wide range of free courses. The institution announced the notices for its new selection process, which offers more than 750 places in technical, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, both face-to-face and distance learning, in several cities. This is an excellent opportunity to enter the Federal Institute without the need to use the ENEM score.

Check the distribution of places in free distance learning undergraduate courses

Places on free courses at the Federal Institute are distributed in the cities of Barbacena, Juiz de Fora, Rio Pomba, Manhuaçu, Santos Dumont and São João del-Rei. Among the Federal Institute's free EAD undergraduate courses without using ENEM are:

Juiz de Fora

  • Mechatronics Engineering (18 vacancies);
  • Electrical Engineering (18 vacancies);
  • Degree in Physics (20).

Pomba River

  • Dairy Technology. (28)

Santos Dumont

  • Railway and Metro Engineering. (21)

Barbacena and São João del-Rei

  • Technology in Tourism Management. (35 for each Campus)

This new selection process for free EAD undergraduate courses at the Federal Institute is the application of the new Quota Law. It determines that candidates will compete for reserved vacancies (50% of the total) only if they do not obtain the grades for admission to the widely competitive vacancies.

The reservation of places takes into account whether the candidate studies or has studied in public institutions and, in specific groups, aspects such as family income and ethnic-racial self-declaration and whether he is a person with a disability.

Follow the steps below to register and enter the Federal Institute without using ENEM

Candidates must register for the selection process for free courses at the Federal Institute from March 28th to May 7th, from a computer, via the IF Sudeste MG page). The units participating in the selection also provide in-person assistance for registration, at times that can be found in the notices. Access to the registration system will be via the candidate's account.

For applicants for technical courses, registration is free. For candidates for free EAD undergraduate training, the fee is R$50,00. Payment of the GRU can be made until May 8th, exclusively at Banco do Brasil branches and banking correspondents.

The investment refers only to the selection stage, as the Instituto Federal is a public institution and does not charge monthly fees for any of its free courses.

Understand how the exemption and selection process for free courses works

For the first time in an IF Sudeste MG selection process, the exemption request must be made during the registration period, more specifically between March 28th and April 8th. Candidates who are entitled to free tuition must wait for the final result of their exemption requests to be announced before registering for the selection process.

The selection method for the free EAD degree varies according to the modality. The formation of classes for technical, concomitant and/or subsequent courses will be determined by a draw, which is scheduled to take place on June 20th.

Candidates for undergraduate course vacancies will be able to be accepted at the Federal Institute without using ENEM, as they will take a test on June 9th. The exam will have 45 objective test questions and an essay. Admission to postgraduate studies depends on specific criteria for each course and described in the notices.
