Ministry of Tourism launches several free courses aimed at qualifying people for the tourism sector

O Ministry of Tourism launched several free online courses for Brazilians. The courses will serve to qualify people who work or want to work in the tourism sector throughout the country. English courses e Spanish and techniques on how to better serve tourists are some of the courses available at Ministry.

Ministry of Tourism: Gilson Machado talks about the courses

"The objective is to expand the offer and access to education, train professionals and offer even more qualified and inclusive tourism to our tourists”, said the Minister of Tourism, Gilson Machado. The courses should be a great differential when it comes to finding a job and increasing the quality of the services provided: “Large-scale qualification is a competitive advantage in the tourism sector, providing, at the same time, the career development of employees and a more qualified service to tourists, which is essential in the post-Covid-19 moment.". 

About Online Courses; there are courses in english and spanish

The Ministry of Tourism had the support of some teaching institutions, highlighting the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul, IFRS, which currently offers, for example, Geography, Tourism and Geopolitics courses; Travel and Tourism Agencies; Pounds; basic understanding; not counting English and Spanish courses. There are also courses in the bar and restaurant segment, such as customer service and quality control.  

"Through a public call notice, we signed this partnership with the institute, which made 23 free distance courses available to tourism professionals across the country and to the general population related to topics in our sector”, highlighted the minister Gilson Machado.
