In the fight are foreign and Brazilian companies to explore exploratory blocks on land and at sea. The recovery of the sector is coming.
The fourteenth round of the auctions to bid for exploration blocks of oil and gas will start hot on the 27th of September, according to the official statement from the ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) released today (9) on the entity's website.
No among competing companies, are renowned operators with great prestige in the market such as BP, Repsol, Total, Exxon Mobil, Shell and Petrobras. Of all the companies competing in the bids, only 3 of them are Brazilian. These newcomers on the block are Wintershall, EA Deutsche Erdoel AG and Petronas Carigali. But what is the importance of these bidding rounds?
One of the highlights of this year's bidding marathon is that foreign companies will also be able to fight for exploration blocks, which total 287 in 29 regions and 9 basins. The sum of all areas tendered reach an incredible 122.622,40 square kilometers. Of these blocks, there will be 110 blocks at sea and 177 on land. The basins explored will be in Campos, Espírito Santo, Santos, Sergipe-Alagoas, Paraná, Parnaíba, Potiguar and Recôncavo. Other big news will be that small, medium and large companies will also participate. As there are 177 blocks on land, you will not necessarily need CBSP and HUET courses to work in the oil business, for example.
