On Monday, (25/03), Piracicaba was the scene of major announcements that promise to boost the local economy and generate hundreds of job vacancies in the region. The companies Koppert do Brasil and Lef Cerâmica revealed their investment plans in the city, totaling around R$750 million in resources destined for the construction of new factories.

Investments for the new Koppert Brasil factory
Koppert do Brasil, present in the country for more than a decade, headquartered in Piracicaba, is recognized for producing innovative solutions for controlling pests and diseases in the agricultural sector.
Now, the company plans to build a new agrobiological pesticide factory, an investment estimated at R$700 million.
This new facility, which will stand out as one of the main producers of this type of input in America, will be built in the Uninoroeste Industrial District, in the Itaperu neighborhood.
Work is expected to begin later this year, in the second half of the year, with a factory expected to open every two years.
For this first expansion cycle, the expectation is that approximately 400 jobs direct, contributing to income generation in the city.
Lef Cerâmica will create 500 jobs in the region
On the other hand, Lef Cerâmica, with more than two decades of operation in Piracicaba, is recognized for the production of high quality ceramic floors and finishes.
The company revealed plans to build a new factory on the banks of Rodovia Deputado Laércio Corte, with an investment of R$50 million.
Expected to come into operation in early 2026, this new manufacturing unit aims to increase the company's production capacity and keep up with growing market demand.
The new factory is expected to generate around 500 jobs direct, further contributing to the strengthening of the city's industrial sector.
With these two projects highlighted, the city of Piracicaba is preparing to receive a considerable economic boost and the generation of new jobs.
