A third of the collection goes to the states and municipalities
Approved budget text

Budget that obliges the federal government to pass on 30% of what is collected, in the Oil auctions that will take place later this year, was approved and is now going to be voted in plenary

This Tuesday, 04/06, the Chamber of Deputies approved the text that provides that states, the Federal District and municipalities receive part of the resources from the auction of surplus pre-salt oil in the Santos Basin.
Deputy Carlos Henrique Gaguim (DEM-TO), partially changes the distribution of pre-salt resources, but maintained the basic text forwarded by the Senate.

Carlos Henrique also asked that the federal government, with part of the amount raised, compensate Petrobras for losses from the variation in oil prices, referring to the onerous assignment contract in the Santos Basin.

The government expects to raise BRL 106 billion, of which around BRL 21 billion would go to municipal and state coffers.

Under the proposal, 30% of the proceeds from the pre-salt oil mega-auction that is scheduled for this year would go to states and municipalities.

Processing of the proposal

The text of the proposal still needs to be approved by the plenary of the Chamber where it has to be voted in two shifts.
the proposal must be divided in two in plenary, one part, which deals with the amendments, if approved, it goes to promulgation.

The sections on the allocation of pre-salt resources will be sent to the Senate in the form of a new PEC. Proposed amendments to the Constitution can only become reality if the version approved by both Houses is the same.
