The contract provides for the provision of offshore maintenance services on the oil company's platform throughout the period of stay. Actemium will contribute to the continuity of the PRIO campaign with the FPSO P-50 in the Campos Basin.

Starting the week with great news, Actemium announced to the press, this Tuesday (31/01), another important contract in the national oil and gas market. Thus, the FPSO P-50 platform will rely on the services of the engineering company for its integrity in the Campos Basin exploration campaign.

Actemium's new contract with PRIO will guarantee offshore maintenance services on the FPSO P-50 platform, moored in the Campos Basin region

With the oil workers' unions and environmentalists criticizing the vessel in the region, the company signed an important contract to guarantee the integrity of the asset.

It signed an agreement with Actemium for the provision of offshore maintenance services by the engineering company on the platform moored in the Campos Basin.

The contract with the company provides for the provision of the following offshore maintenance services: contract management, offshore installation services for structures (plates, profiles and floor gratings), offshore piping installation services and provision of equipment.

In addition, the package will include opening and closing services for mechanical equipment (vessels, filters, tanks, heat exchangers, etc.), surface preparation and painting, electrical and instrumentation services.

Finally, Actemium will provide PRIO's FPSO P-50 platform with onshore fabrication activities for metallic structures and piping.

The company has been investing more and more in the quality of its offshore maintenance services in the national upstream market.

Thus, it is ensuring better asset integrity for several oil companies across the country, such as PRIO.

The contract for operations in the Campos Basin marks another step taken by Actemium in the domestic oil and gas market, after winning the last three editions of the “Petrobras Best Suppliers Award” as the best provider of offshore maintenance services.

Oil tankers denounce risks to the environment and request interdiction of PRIO's FPSO P-50 platform in Campos Basin

In parallel with the optimistic news of the contract with Actemium for offshore maintenance services to ensure the integrity of the FPSO P-50 platform, PRIO has to deal with criticism on the national scene.

The North Fluminense Petroleum Workers Union (Sindipetro-NF) sent a letter to bodies and entities of the federal, state and municipal public administration this Tuesday.

The organization requests the immediate interdiction of the platform in the Campos Basin, due to the environmental risks caused by the P-50.

The oil tankers point out that the PRIO platform is currently in the process of being degraded due to lack of maintenance, thus causing strong impacts to the environment in the region.

“The turbo-generators present problems in the water heating system, directly interfering in the mechanism of separation and classification of oil and produced and discarded water”, highlights the document.

Also according to Sindipetro-NF, the degraded state of the platform poses risks to the crew during its operation.

Now, with the signing of PRIO's agreement for Actemium's offshore maintenance services, the company expects to keep the FPSO operation going.
