Aeris Energy and Siemens Gamesa in agreement for a new Brazilian wind energy contract

According to Aeris energy, the company would be negotiating a potential contract with Siemens Gamesa in wind energy. Thus, the Brazilian would supply the company with equipment with a capacity equivalent to 3,3 gigawatts.

In a statement to the CVM, the company informed that the term of the wind energy contract would run until 2024 and a total estimated value of up to R$ 2,5 billion with Siemens Gamesa. However, there is still no binding agreement and no decision on the terms of the eventual contract.

Such information from Aeris energy and Siemens Gamesa on wind energy projects comes after an article published by Valor Econômico. According to the newspaper, there were conversations between the producer of blades for wind energy generators and Siemens, according to a source.

After eight consecutive trading sessions on the rise, Aeris shares fell sharply on Tuesday. Rising back on Wednesday and falling again yesterday.

Brazilian renewable energy projects

Aeris energy already has an accumulation of more than 10 thousand blades of wind energy to be delivered in the next 3 years. In other words, equal to everything the company has produced since its founding – in 2010. Furthermore, it is estimated a turnover of R$ 2,2 billion this year, adding up to R$ 280 million in EBITDA.

The wind energy company also points out that “the potential signing of the contract with Siemens Gamesa is in line with the strategy of expanding its business and spreading its customer portfolio, with the consolidation of the Company’s operations in the foreign market” , completed.

The manufacturer also informed that it will issue debentures in the amount of R$ 600 million. In a notice to the market, the shares have a unit value of R$1.000. The measure was approved after approval by the company's board of directors.
