After the elections, which took place on the last Sunday of October and determined the victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for the presidency of the Republic, numerous demonstrations by truck drivers in favor of Bolsonaro began to take place across the country, subsequently, the price of diesel showed high, while Petrobras shares remain stable.

According to a survey carried out by Ticket Log, in Sergipe (SE), the increase in diesel price reached 7,14% after the elections for President of the Republic and the truck drivers demonstrations. These variations lead to an appreciation of more than 70% in Petrobras shares in just one year, providing billionaire dividends to its shareholders.

The lifting of Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL) showed that the price of diesel rose 0,99% nationwide in the first two weeks of November, closing this period being quoted at an average of R$ 7,03. Diesel s-10 was 0,79% more expensive, sold at gas stations at R$7,12.

The new high comes after the elections which, until then, the fuel had the third consecutive month of decline by Petrobras. In October, however, the retreat was smaller than in the previous months, raising the possibility and the tendency in relation to the change of scenario in November, argues Douglas Pina, Director General of Mainstream of the Fleet and Mobility Division of Edenred Brasil.

The Southeast was the only Brazilian region that presented decreases in values in this same period, being 0,18%, still barely perceptible in the pockets of truck drivers and companies that work with logistics and freight.

The state with the most expensive diesel price in all of Brazil, after the truck drivers' demonstrations and elections, has been Roraima (RR), which has prices around R$ 8,07 and the S-10 at R$ 7,98 .XNUMX.

The most significant average drop in diesel prices after the elections for President of the Republic, with Bolsonaro and Lula in the running, was in Rio Grande do Norte (RN), even if the Northeast in general showed increases. The state had a drop of 0,76% in the price list of gas stations. The lowest price per liter, meanwhile, was found in Rio Grande do Sul (RS), sold at around R$6,44.

The IPTL is one of the indexes responsible for analyzing changes in fuel prices, taking into account the scenario of 21 service stations accredited by Ticket Log.
