Mario Povia became the new Director of Port Management at CDRJ and visited the Port of Itaguaí to learn more about the facilities

On the morning of last Wednesday, the Port of Itaguaí received the illustrious visit of the new Director of Port Management at Companhia Docas do Rio de Janeiro (CDRJ). As this port is one of the most relevant in Brazil, Povia wanted to get to know the place better.

Along with the director, the visit was also attended by Carlos Eduardo Collares Moreira Portella, advisor Abdalla Mansur and the member of the Board of Directors (CONSAD). They were welcomed by the Superintendent of Port Management of Itaguaí and Angra dos Reis, Alexandre Neves, by the managers of the Port of Itaguaí and by representatives of the leased terminals – CSN, Sepetiba Tecon and CPBS.

The meeting was very productive for all representatives of their companies, as it was a great opportunity to point out needs and demands in their remote terminals.

According to the new director, “a closer relationship with port operators is essential in order to establish a positive agenda and a channel for dialogue”.
