Discover the BYD Dolphin Mini, BYD's electric car that revolutionized the market with its innovative proposals and affordable revisions, but with warranty exceptions
As reported by the Auto Esporte website, the long-awaited launch of the BYD Dolphin Mini is about to shake up the Brazilian automotive market. Scheduled to launch at the end of February, the electric car will arrive with a innovative and competitive proposal, offering inspections every 20.000 km at more affordable prices than combustion cars. However, there are exceptions to the guarantee that consumers should be aware of.
The BYD Dolphin Mini electric car will have a maintenance plan with fixed prices for its inspections, one per year or every 20.000 km, whichever comes first. Electric car prices range between R$370 and R$1.000, resulting in a total of R$6.850 at the end of 200.000 km. These values are lower compared to the overhaul costs of combustion models, such as the Chevrolet Onix, Hyundai HB20 and Volkswagen Polo.
Understand BYD electric car reviews and warranty
In unique, cheaper reviews, BYD checks several essential items for the electric car, such as brakes, suspension, alignment, among others. In even revisions, mandatory replacements are carried out, such as transmission oil and brake fluid. Furthermore, changing engine antifreeze is recommended every 100.000 km or four years.

The BYD Dolphin Mini warranty has not yet been officially released, but based on other electric models of the brand, it is expected to be five years or 500.000 km for private-use vehicles, including the engine, and eight years for batteries. For commercial use, the warranty is reduced to two years or 100.000 km for the electric car and five years or 150.000 km for the batteries, with some exceptions for specific items.
