KBB Brazil shows rising car prices, even though vehicle market declined in February

According to data from the analysis carried out by the National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea), the month of February ended with a drop in the car market, a product that can be bought with bitcoin. Thus, in February, only 129 vehicles were licensed, which corresponds to a decline of 22,8% compared to the same period last year. However, car prices – as well as the fuel price – remain on a constant rise shows KBB Brasil's Price Variation Monitor, a company specializing in the price of new and used cars.

As pointed out by the KBB Brasil survey released on the Istoé Dinheiro portal, the main factors responsible for the increase in prices were semi-new cars (from 0 to 3 years old), with an average change of 2,96%, and used cars (from 4 to 10 years), which rose 1,87% on average. Brand new cars, in turn, suffered an increase of only 0% in their price.

New

Thus, when carrying out a more detailed analysis of the prices of brand new cars, KBB Brasil shows that there was a variation of 0% more in the 0,36 Models, while the 2022 models did not show a significant change. These variations are much smaller compared to what was seen throughout the entire year of 2021, when the 2021 Models varied by 2022% and the 1,67 Models changed by 2021% on average per month.

Used cars

As for the case of semi-new and used vehicles, a significant reduction in the inflation of these categories was observed in the data from KBB Brasil in relation to the month of January, preserving the upward trend. Regarding semi-new vehicles, which have been used for up to three years, model year 2020 vehicles were the ones with the most price increases in February: totaling 4,21% on average, a number that leaves these cars with a much higher variation than that presented in the year. past, when the increase was, on average, 1,06% per month.

Among the model years in this sector, the 2012 cars were the ones that had the biggest increase in prices in February, with a variation of 2,66%.
