Signing the pre-contract represents overcoming yet another step. The ammonia and green hydrogen production unit, which will occupy an area of up to 60 hectares in the Ceará EPZ, aims to avoid the monthly emission of up to 430 thousand tons, through the generation of green fuel instead of gray hydrogen, which emits 2.4 kg of CO2 for each kg of gray ammonia produced, thus generating a significant reduction in the emission of greenhouse gases (GHG).

According to the new business director at Casa dos Ventos, Lucas Araripe, Ceará is located in a region of efficient and abundant energy resources, alongside a strategic position in relation to foreign trade. Such factors make it possible to export your clean energy in the form of green energy in a much more competitive way on a global scale.

According to the President of Comerc Eficiência, Marcel Haratz, it is a great pleasure to have the company at the forefront of such an innovative project that is moving towards a sustainable economy, opening up new possibilities for generating wealth for Brazil and generating thousands of jobs.

O Pecém Complex Green Hydrogen Hub is a reality.

Pernambuco and Ceará also concentrate investments in ammonia and green hydrogen

The Camaçari Complex, in the state of Bahia, has a development project for Unigel to install a green hydrogen plant with the expectation of starting operations next year. The estimated investment in the venture is around US$ 120 million with the aim of generating a production capacity of 10 thousand tons per year.

In Pernambuco, the Port of Suape establishes the production of green hydrogen in a research and development and qualification segment through the innovation cluster. For the director of Environment and Sustainability at the port, Carlos Cavalcanti, the company is very interested in importing.
