The electric Chevrolet Blazer comes equipped with an 11-inch digital instrument panel, a 17,7-inch multimedia center and an advanced semi-autonomous steering system.

The year 2023 will be full of news for Chevrolet. At the beginning of the year, Big Brother Brasil was the stage for the launch of the brand new Montana 2023. The pickup will compete with Fiat Strada and Toro, as well as Renault Oroch.

However, this is just one of the launches scheduled for this year, as Chevrolet also announced the launch of the Blazer in its electric version here in Brazil. According to the automaker, the vehicle surpasses the Camaro in power and can run up to 515 kilometers on a single battery charge.

Both the Chevrolet Bolt EUV electric crossover and the large pickup truck, Chevrolet Silverado, will also be available here in the coming months. The availability of both vehicles was announced some time ago by the company. Then, it will be the Spin minivan's turn to go through yet another reformulation process.

However, the most important information is that the Chevrolet Blazer will return to Brazil in 2023. However, not in the way it was marketed and sold at the beginning of the previous decade. The model is now a more powerful electric vehicle than the Camaro and with a range of up to 515 kilometers.

The launch of the electric Chevrolet Blazer was scheduled to take place in 2024, when it was announced for Brazil in June 2022. Even so, the automaker indicated that it plans to introduce the vehicle in our market before the end of this year. There is no price estimate or list of versions yet, but we already have information that it will be imported from Mexico, where production will take place.

It is essential to take into account the fact that the model is not yet available even for customers in the United States. A company representative said that the introduction of the product in Brazil will take place a few months after the debut in the United States. Still according to Chevrolet, the RS and SS models are the most likely alternatives to be launched, and are also the most expensive, which makes sense when considering that it is a luxury vehicle.

The most powerful model of the electric Chevrolet Blazer will have an engine capable of providing the equivalent of 557 horsepower, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in about 4 seconds

There are still some details about the new electric Blazer that have not been released by Chevrolet. For now, we know that the SS option will be the most powerful in the lineup. It will have an electric motor capable of delivering 557 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in about four seconds. North American regulations, stricter than European ones, stipulate that four-wheel drive and range must be at least 466 kilometers.

Although there is no performance data available for the RS option, it has a slightly improved range of 515 kilometers. The amount of time required to charge the new electric Chevrolet Blazer can vary. By using one of these fast chargers with 190 kW, it is possible to recover 125 kilometers of autonomy in just 10 minutes.

Both models also come equipped with an 11-inch digital instrument panel and a 17,7-inch multimedia center. These features are in addition to the advanced Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system, which, under certain circumstances, is able to operate the vehicle even when the driver does not have their hands on the steering wheel.

The Blazer RS will start at US$51.995 (about R$271.600 at current exchange rates) in the United States. The SS configuration has a significant increase, with a North American price of US$65.995, which is equivalent to approximately R$344.700 when directly converted. Remembering that here in Brazil there will still be the addition of taxes, so it is estimated that the electric Chevrolet Blazer will cost a much higher amount.
