Company from China develops popular electric car with great specifications and a range of up to 200 km. The vehicle will rival the country's current sales champion, the Wuling Hongguang.

A new startup from China known as Jemell New Energy is preparing to enter the automotive market with its popular electric car called the Uni Mini EV. The vehicle has a range of up to 200 km and will be the newest rival of the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, the current bestseller in China's electric vehicle industry. The Lingbox Uni Mini EV is a three-door car designed to transport up to four people.

China launches another popular tram with square style

The vehicle has two trim versions available for prices that can reach 38.800 and 49.900 yuan, which, in direct conversion, amounts to BRL 27.900 and BRL 35.800.

The initial price of the Uni Mini EV is slightly above what is suggested to compete with its rival, but it is still very competitive if we compare it to Brazil and even China standards. In terms of visuals, the Jemell model definitely did not bring any innovation to the electric vehicle market, adopting the square pattern, which is seen in models such as the Cherry QQ Ice Cream, for example.

However, the automaker is betting that the design of the popular electric car will be decisive in buyers' choice. The vehicle measures 1.517 mm in width, 1.620 mm in height and 2.930 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 1.940 mm, which is an average of China's top competitors.

The interior of the vehicle is simple and concise, following the standards adopted in the sector, with a panel of clean lines, a group of buttons in the central part of the panel and a multimedia touch screen. In front of the driver is installed a traditional analog instrument panel. Its technical specifications are very similar to many other vehicles in the sector.

China's popular electric car is driven by an electric motor that can deliver 27 horsepower and 8,7 kgfm of torque, achieving a maximum speed of 100 km/h.

The model from China has two options for lithium-iron-phosphate batteries, one with a capacity of 11,52 kWh and the other with 15,96 kWh, guaranteeing a range that can go from 140 to 201 km, respectively, with just one charge. It is important to note that the Chinese startup is recent and emerged in 2020, with headquarters in the city of Jiangsu.

China's best-selling car will gain luxury version

The Chinese's favorite electric car will get a luxury version soon. The model is the popular electric car Wuling Air EV, an electric mini with a more elaborate look that will be launched in the third quarter of this year.

The model is very small and has an appearance that bets on the square format and with a bolder front compared to its older model. The differential of the new model is that it is offered with two body configurations, the first with a short wheelbase for 2 people and the other with a longer wheelbase, for 4 people.

The new model is equipped with an engine that can deliver up to 40 horsepower with front-wheel drive. The other specifications were not disclosed by the Chinese company, however the battery will be phosphate-iron-lithium and the maximum speed reached is 100 km/h, making it a model aimed at the urban environment.
