The test of the Chinese hypersonic missile took place in August, was kept secret and surprised the United States authorities
In August, China tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile. The rocket-propelled glider caught the attention of US officials, showing a capability that took US intelligence by surprise, the Financial Times reported, citing five unnamed sources.

"The test showed that China had made astounding progress in hypersonic weapons and was far more advanced than US officials realized," the report said, citing people briefed on the intelligence.
The official US report on Saturday night said the Chinese military had launched a China-developed Long Marche-type rocket. The hypersonic missile flew in low orbit, circling Earth before flying towards its target, which missed by about 20 kilometers.
China's Ministry of Defense did not immediately respond to a faxed request for comment from Reuters on Sunday.
China denies it has recently tested a hypersonic missile
US and Russia are also building nuclear hypersonic missile
The United States and Russia are also developing hypersonic missiles, and last month North Korea said it had tested a newly developed hypersonic missile.
At a 2019 parade, China showcased its advancing weaponry, including its hypersonic missile, known as the DF-17.
Ballistic missiles fly into outer space before returning on steep trajectories at higher speeds. Hypersonic weapons are difficult for military defense equipment to stop because they fly towards targets at lower altitudes, but they can reach more than five times the speed of sound – or around 6.200 km per hour (3.850 mph).

The pulse held by the United States and China touches many sticks. The competition gets fierce between these two global superpowers, in which no other country seems able to participate. During the last few months, both nations have announced the start of several wind farm construction projects, in which the largest wind turbines on the planet will intervene. By 2023, the United States hopes to have completed a wind farm hosted on an island belonging to the state of Massachusetts, which will incorporate the monstrous Haliade-X wind turbines, from General Electric (GE). Watch the video below and learn about the Chinese wind turbine that promises to displace the wind turbines of the American giant General Electric
